About the Outreach Ministry



Purpose:To involve Central Pointe in the community and develop our presence in Bloomington, Normal through participation in events and creative advertising.

Responsibilities
  • Search for community programs we can be a part of. (Western Ave, Boys and Girls Club, Community Action)
  • Search for community events we can be a part of. (Culture Fest, ISU Student kick off, MLK Luncheon)
  • Brainstorm ways to make an impact on the community and the ISU Campus.
  • Encourage the congregation to become involved.

       As God’s people we are prone to hide out in the church building instead of going out into the community. The community will get to know us based on what we do not by what we say. Our ministry has to go beyond the walls of our building. The community wants to know we care. This will open the door to minister to the unsaved. Our efforts to get involved in the community, is a vital step in meeting the needs of the whole man.
